The General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) Diploma is a comprehensive 3-year program designed to prepare students for a career in nursing. This course equips students with the essential skills and knowledge required for effective healthcare delivery and patient care.

Eligibility:

To be eligible for the GNM program, candidates must have completed their Plus 2 (12th grade) from any stream—Arts, Commerce, or Science—with English as a compulsory subject. A minimum of 40% in overall marks is required for admission.

The GNM curriculum covers various aspects of nursing education, including fundamental nursing, community health nursing, and midwifery. The program emphasizes both theoretical and practical training, ensuring that students are well-prepared for real-world clinical practice.

Patient Care is a core component of the GNM course, where students learn to provide comprehensive care to patients across different healthcare settings. This includes understanding patient needs, administering medications, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.

The program also includes extensive clinical practice in hospitals and healthcare facilities, allowing students to gain hands-on experience. This practical exposure is crucial for developing the competencies required to become effective Registered Nurses (RN) and Nurse Practitioners (NP).

Upon completion, graduates can pursue various nursing careers in hospitals, clinics, community health centers, and other healthcare institutions.
